Expertly crafted using premium cotton or mulberry silk (Kabrang), and sometimes reinforced with local bark fibers like Santhak.Woven by skilled women artisans using the extra-weft technique on loin or fly-shuttle looms, creating a rich, textured finish. While simple versions are used for daily wear, more intricate bordered phaneks are the preferred choice for weddings, religious festivals like Lai Haraoba, and formal public gatherings.
