About the Craft
Paithani weaving originated in Paithan, a town in Maharashtra's Aurangabad district, and has been considered one of India's finest textile achievements for over two thousand years. Traditionally woven in silk with gold zari, the cotton Paithani is a more accessible but equally authentic interpretation of this craft. The patta border, a clean, hand-woven band of zari running along the length, replaces the more elaborate figured borders of silk Paithanis, giving this saree a refined simplicity. The pallu, woven separately and joined to the body, features the characteristic bird and geometric motifs that are the signature of Paithani craftsmanship.

How to Care?
Soft hand wash in cold water with mild detergent. Do not wring. Dry in the shade and supply carefully to protect the zari work.
