In the rustic corners of Rajasthan, where looms speak a quiet language of patience and pride, the artisans of Anwa continue their generational craft. Woven by hand, each saree is a product of memory, rhythm, and skill — and the Teal Blue Anwa Handloom Saree is one such beautiful result. With its serene yet striking colour and delicate zari buti motifs, this saree is designed to celebrate not just occasions but the craft itself.

Rooted in heritage and draped in elegance, it’s a piece that doesn’t chase trends — it holds its own, season after season.

Anwa: A Village Where Weaving Still Breathes
The Anwa cluster in Bhilwara, Rajasthan is known for its weaving tradition that dates back generations. In homes where looms have been passed down like heirlooms, skilled artisans sit at hand-operated wooden frames and weave cotton with zari detailing using dobby and jala mechanisms — no machines, no shortcuts.

This saree is made using the extra weft technique, where zari butis (motifs) are inserted directly into the fabric while weaving, forming part of the saree’s structure rather than being attached later. The base fabric is crafted from 2/80 cotton yarn in the warp and 2/40 single cotton in the weft, mercerized for smoothness, durability, and a refined finish.

Every saree is a slow, deliberate creation — touched by tradition and perfected through years of experience.

The Essence of Teal Blue
Teal Blue — where the calm of ocean blues meets the depth of forest greens — is a colour of quiet confidence. In Indian textiles, such jewel-toned hues are beloved for their versatility: rich enough for celebration, soft enough for everyday grace. It suits all skin tones and stands out beautifully under daylight or evening lights.

On this teal base, the subtle shimmer of handwoven zari butis and the linear detail of the striped aanchal (pallu) create movement and contrast, lending the saree both charm and structure. Whether styled with antique silver, oxidized jewellery, or traditional gold, it makes an effortless statement.

Made for those who appreciate textiles with purpose, it’s light, breathable, and elegant in every drape.

What Makes It Unique?
Machine-made sarees may offer precision, but they lack warmth. The Teal Blue Anwa Saree is woven thread by thread — each buti placed intentionally, each stripe aligned by eye and hand. Unlike mass-produced fabrics, there’s no artificial sheen or stiffness here. Instead, it carries character, breathability, and a soul that only handloom can offer.

This saree isn’t just worn — it’s experienced. It holds slight variations in motif, finish, and drape — a mark of handmade authenticity.

Care Instructions
To maintain its beauty for years:

✧ Hand wash separately in cold water with a gentle detergent

✧ Avoid soaking or harsh scrubbing

✧ Do not bleach

✧ Dry in the shade to preserve colour and texture

✧ Iron on the reverse side using medium heat

✧ Store in a cotton cloth or bag for breathability

Over time, the cotton will soften even more, creating a drape that’s uniquely yours.

It’s fashion that respects heritage, and comfort that carries character.

The Teal Blue Anwa Handloom Saree is more than just attire — it’s a continuation of India's textile story. Crafted slowly by artisans who know each warp and weft like an old friend, this saree is full of life, culture, and charm. Whether you wear it for a celebration or make it part of your daily wardrobe, it brings grace without effort and meaning without noise.
