Bastar art originates from the tribal heartland of Chhattisgarh, where the Dhokra technique — an ancient form of lost-wax metal casting — has been practised for over four thousand years. Artisans create wire and wax frameworks, coat them in clay, and pour molten metal inside, letting the original form burn away. What remains, once the mould is broken open, is a piece that cannot be perfectly replicated. This frame draws from that same tradition, rendered here in premium brass with a warm golden finish.
